I build custom tools for interpreting agencies.
I've been a sign language interpreter for 15 years and was a web programmer before that. I fix the one thing slowing your agency down, like scheduling or invoicing, without making you switch to a giant system. The first conversation is free.
You can't take on 20 more billed hours a day if your back-office is stuck in 2018.
Most agencies aren't short on requests. They're short on hours, because the same manual work keeps eating the day.
What's usually the brake
-
Requests typed in twice
A request comes in on a spreadsheet, someone types it into Google Calendar, and every change means another round of invites.
-
Month-end invoicing that eats your evenings
Scrolling a giant calendar into QuickBooks, trying to remember which jobs were subbed, last minute, or emergent.
-
Chasing interpreters one by one
Texting down the list to fill a job, then working out who got notified first and who never answered.
These are patterns, not a menu. The first call is about finding what is actually costing your agency the most.
How it works
-
Free 30-minute call
We talk about where your time actually goes. No pitch, no slides.
-
A custom automation audit
I map your workflow and show you which pieces can run themselves, and what each one is worth to fix.
-
The build
Scoped and priced up front, before anything starts. You know the number before I start work. If they're working for you, keep QuickBooks, Google Calendar, and whatever else you already use. I'll connect them so we minimize the manual work and the learning curve.
-
Ongoing support
Automations need monitoring and tuning. I'll keep an eye on the inner workings for you.
What I've built
I'm early enough that I don't have client case studies to show yet. So here's a couple of prototypes you can test drive and some software I built for my own interpreting work.
Dispatch Hub
A prototype. A request comes in, gets logged, and the requester gets an automatic "we're on it" before you've seen it. One tap sends the job to selected interpreters, and if no one answers you move on through the list. You can see who's worked with the client before and how experienced they are.
Click through the prototypeInvoicing Hub
A prototype. Pulls a month of assignments off the calendar and sorts them by customer into invoice lines, ready to send. Anything it can't confidently match gets flagged with the specific reason, not silently guessed at.
Click through the prototypeI also put out tools for individual interpreters:
Job Checker
A monitoring tool that watches job portals and notifies you about new offers the moment they post. Before it, I refreshed browser tabs all day and still missed things. Now I get told. It's built for interpreters, by an interpreter.
TerpToolkit.com. I also built Team Scheduler there. Set a start and end time and it builds the shift rotation for you, with breaks and time zone handling built-in.
I ran a freelance business for 15 years, so the admin drag isn't theoretical to me. I automated my own back office before I sold that to anyone else. I use what I build.
Pricing
Every project is scoped and priced before I start. You know the number up front. The no-pitch 30-minute call is free.
Who you're working with
I'm Andrew Sanchez. I've been an ASL interpreter for 15 years, and before that I wrote software.
Running the interpreting business taught me how much of a week disappears into scheduling, invoicing, and retyping the same details. I fixed it for myself first, then people started asking me to fix it for them.
If you hire me, you work with me. No account manager, no handoff to a team you haven't met.
